Vishwa Samudra Open 2025: Yuvraj Sandhu Clinches Sixth Season Title with Dominant Eight-Shot Win

Yuvraj Sandhu produced a commanding performance to claim his sixth title of the season at the INR 2 crore Vishwa Samudra Open 2025, presented by Kapil Dev, at the Delhi Golf Club on Friday. Recovering from last week’s narrow runner-up finish in Jaipur, the Chandigarh golfer fired a superb bogey-free six-under 66 in the final round to seal an emphatic eight-shot victory.

Yuvraj, who carded 73-69-66-66 for a total of 14-under 274, collected the winner’s cheque of INR 30 lakh, strengthening his position at the top of the PGTI Ranking with season earnings of INR 1,61,67,100. With this triumph, the 28-year-old secured the 2025 PGTI Order of Merit title and booked his berth on next year’s DP World Tour. His sixth win also matches the PGTI record for most titles in a season, tying Manu Gandas’ 2022 feat, while equalling the lowest winning score at DGC.

Sri Lanka’s N Thangaraja finished a distant second at six-under 282 after a final-round 68, followed by Akshay Sharma, Manu Gandas and Rashid Khan. Reflecting on his season, Yuvraj said the breakthrough year was the result of resilience, clarity in decision-making, and strong support from his coaching and fitness team.
