PM Modi to Launch ₹1 Lakh Crore Scheme to Boost Private Sector-Led R&D at ESTIC 2025

New Delhi, Nov 3 (IANS) — Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Monday launch the ₹1 lakh crore Research Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme Fund, a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening India’s research and development ecosystem through private sector participation.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Emerging Science and Technology Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and address the gathering. The three-day conclave, from November 3–5, will see participation from over 3,000 delegates, including Nobel laureates, leading scientists, industry experts, policymakers, and innovators from across the world.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, discussions will focus on 11 key thematic areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Science, Energy, Health Technologies, Advanced Manufacturing, Blue Economy, and Space Technologies. The event will feature scientific talks, panel sessions, and technology showcases aimed at fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and startups.

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh said ESTIC 2025 will serve as a platform for young innovators and startups to present breakthrough ideas, seek mentorship, and connect with industry leaders. The conclave is envisioned as an outcome-oriented forum to drive partnerships that strengthen India’s innovation-led growth.
