New Delhi, Nov 21 (IANS): Hockey India on Thursday unveiled the official promo for the Hero Hockey India League (HIL) 2025/26 season, introducing its bold new brand line, “Big. Is. Back.” The campaign aims to reintroduce the league with a dynamic, cinematic identity that reflects heightened ambition, creative energy and deeper fan engagement.
The fresh creative direction showcases the power, speed and emotional pull of hockey in India, while a wide-reaching rollout targets fans across multiple markets and platforms. HIL’s successful return in 2024 recorded a remarkable cumulative reach of 40.8 million viewers — a 48% jump compared to 2017. The men’s final alone drew 3.07 million viewers, while the most-watched women’s match attracted 2.92 million. The league also extended its global presence to over 5 million viewers across 18 hockey nations and surpassed 1 billion social media views.
The upcoming season’s campaign is anchored in a 360-degree marketing strategy, featuring high-impact animated films representing franchise cities, nationwide outdoor installations, and strong visibility across radio, TV, and OTT platforms. A revamped digital plan will emphasise daily storytelling, behind-the-scenes content, player features and influencer-driven fan conversations.
HIL Governing Committee Chairperson Dilip Tirkey said the new promo marks the official countdown to a bigger-than-ever season, reaffirming the league’s key role in shaping Indian hockey. Committee Member Bhola Nath Singh added that the refreshed campaign aims to make the league more exciting and accessible for fans.
The Women’s League will be held in Ranchi from December 28, 2025, to January 10, 2026, followed by the Men’s League from January 3 to 26, 2026, across Chennai, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar.
