JAIPUR, Nov 18 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 21st instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on November 19, which is being observed nationwide as PM-Kisan Utsav Diwas. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will attend the state-level programme at the State Agricultural Management Institute in Durgapura, with similar events scheduled across all districts.
Since the scheme’s inception, 20 instalments have already been transferred, benefiting farmers throughout Rajasthan. So far, a total of Rs 25,142 crore has been directly deposited into the bank accounts of the state’s farmers under PM-Kisan. In addition, the Rajasthan government has disbursed Rs 2,073 crore through four instalments under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
On Wednesday, Rs 1,332 crore will be transferred to 66.62 lakh farmers in Rajasthan under PM-Kisan. At the national level, Rs 18,000 crore will be disbursed to 9 crore farmers. Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually in three equal instalments, while Rajasthan provides an additional Rs 3,000 per year to all PM-Kisan beneficiaries in the state.
Launched on February 24, 2019, PM-Kisan is one of the world’s largest DBT initiatives, ensuring financial assistance reaches farmers swiftly and transparently. Notably, over 25 per cent of its benefits are allotted to women, supported by a robust digital infrastructure that enables seamless access across the country.
